In 1998, OCI Chemical expanded its global presence by establishing OCI Chemical Europe, N.V., located in Geel, east of Antwerp, Belgium. Led by European Commercial Manager, Jan Lauwers, this sales operation has strategically positioned OCI for growth in Europe.

OCI Chemical Europe offers a full service package to our customers. Through our logistics network, we are able to supply Dense Soda Ash to the doorsteps of our clients’ factories. To this extent we rent terminals in Antwerp, Belgium; and near Setubal, Portugal, while we also sell shiploads to customers who run their own warehouse in other European ports. OCI Europe aims to facilitate the business of its customers: we import product from the U.S., and sell it the European way.

Along with Soda Ash, OCI Europe also offers Sodium Percarbonate, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Hydroxide (flakes) from Unid Korea, and Oripax (Micronised Zirconium Silicate) from DC Chemical. We maintain stock of these products in Antwerp, Belgium and sell them in a range of different sized packaging.
